What we collect
We collect information you provide such as your name, business name, phone number, email, and ABN, along with route and location data submitted with your trips.
How we use your data
We use this information to operate the platform — connecting customers with carriers, showing live trip availability, and enabling direct communication between users.
Sharing of contact details
To enable direct contact, carrier contact details (including phone number) may be shared with customers viewing a trip. Customers may also share their name and contact details with carriers when starting a chat or arranging a job. By using the platform you consent to this sharing. You should treat any details you receive about another user as confidential and use them only for the job at hand.
Data retention & deletion
We retain your account, profile, trip history, and conversations while your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from your profile; this removes your profile and deactivates your listings. Conversation history, subscription records, identity-verification status, and information needed for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes may be retained in anonymised or limited form for up to 7 years where required by Australian law.
Location data
When live tracking is enabled, your device's location may be collected periodically while a trip is active and displayed publicly as the truck's current position. You can stop tracking at any time by ending the trip.
Identity verification (carriers)
To protect customers from fraud and freight theft, carriers must complete identity verification before messaging is enabled on their listings. We use Stripe Identity as our verification provider. During this process, Stripe collects a photo of your government-issued ID and a live selfie directly from you, performs document authenticity, face-match, and liveness checks, and returns the outcome (verified / requires input / canceled) to us along with your reported name and date of birth. We store only the verification status, the Stripe verification session ID, and the reported name and date of birth — we do not store copies of your ID document or selfie images on our servers; those are held by Stripe under their privacy policy. Business (ABN) verification (carriers)
When a carrier chooses to verify their business, we send the submitted ABN to the Australian Business Register (ABR) via the ABR Web Services lookup operated by the Australian Government. The ABR returns public business information (entity name, ABN status, GST registration). We store the submitted ABN, the submitted business name, the entity name returned by the ABR, the ABN status, GST registration flag, a name-match score, and the date of the check. This information is used to display an "ABN verified" badge on the carrier's public Discovery profile. We do not share this information with third parties beyond the ABR lookup itself.
Third parties
We do not sell your data to third parties. We share data only where necessary to operate the platform — for example, with our infrastructure provider (hosting), our payment processor (Stripe, for subscriptions), our identity verification provider (Stripe Identity, for carrier ID checks), our mapping provider (Mapbox, for routes and distance calculations), and the Australian Business Register (for ABN lookups when a carrier verifies their business).
